Welkom bij Stichting Gema Rasa, waar de betoverende klanken van het gamelanorkest en de sierlijke bewegingen van de Javaanse dans samenkomen voor een fascinerende culturele beleving.
Een sprankelende vertelling uit de Javaanse verhaaltraditie — over geduld, oprechtheid en de kracht van wie je werkelijk bent — tot leven gebracht in muziek, dans en verhaal.
Met tientallen uitvoerenden op het podium, waaronder gamelanspelers, dansers uit Nederland en Indonesië, en een Javaanse artistiek leider, verbindt deze voorstelling eeuwenoude traditie met hedendaagse zeggingskracht — voor jong en oud.

Literally translated, "gema" means "echo" in Javanese and Indonesian. For the foundation it symbolises the resonance of Javanese culture and traditions echoing through the generations.
"Rasa" can be translated as "feeling", "taste" or "essence". It refers to the deep emotional connection one experiences when practising and experiencing Javanese dance and music.
